I am also a UKPHR Public Health Practitioner and specialise in Obesity, Health Promotion, Health Protection, Emergency Planning and Physical Activity. I have worked for OneSmallStep for over 3 years and enjoy my varied role which includes leading the Health Trainer and stop smoking practitioner teams, delivering training, engaging with our local communities and service development. My interests outside work include Ultra Distance running, fitness training and Kayaking. I am a Level 3 Personal Trainer and running coach.

’I am a Registered Nutritionist and qualified physiologist who has worked in Health Promotion for over 5 years in both the public and clinical sectors. I am passionate about supporting people to make small dietary changes aimed at achieving a healthier lifestyle and reaching their goals. By providing up to date, research backed advice I hope to remove the confusion around ‘what is a healthy diet’ and aim to find achievable and sustainable dietary habit changes with the people I work with. In addition to this role, I also create and present live nutrition focused sessions on a weekly basis through our One Small Step Facebook page which provides a source of additional information and support for the clients taking part in the service. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, running and cooking

My role at One Small Step is to work one to one with clients who wish to stop smoking, and supporting them along their journey to achieve their goals. My interests outside of work involve running, walking, cycling, paddle boarding and exploring new places in my camper-van. Alongside this I am a Level 3 personal trainer and am studying a BSc Nutrition Degree.

My role involves building relationships with a range of community based partners across Devon and engaging with the public at events in the community. I also deliver MECC training, a national behaviour change RSPH accredited programme. MECC is a behavioural approach which enables individuals to use a different approach to working with people to address health and wellbeing by improving a person’s self-efficacy and helping them to identify ways to improve their health. I feel very passionate about my role and enjoy engaging and meeting knew people every day.
